CONVENIENT TO EVERYTHING: Located in the northeastern part of central Portland in the Historic Irvington District, our majestic 1906 Queen Anne home is just four blocks from the Lloyd Center Mall (with indoor ice skating rink, major stores, food court, and 18 screens showing first run movies). There are also many fine restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shops and markets within easy walking distance. We are also a short walk to the MAX light rail system that goes to the airport for under $2.00, and to the Rose Quarter (the Convention Center, Rose Garden arena, the Memorial Coliseum) and Downtown for free. If you wish to drive, we are less than five minutes from the Rose Quarter and Downtown.

PARKING: Street parking is safe and generally available. There are no parking meters or time limits. Feel free to use our front or back driveway to drop of your luggage before you park.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

DRIVING FROM THE AIRPORT (20 - 30 minutes in the direction of Downtown Portland): Take Airport Way and follow the signs to Portland, I-205 South, then take Portland I-84 West. Take the Lloyd Blvd. exit (Exit 1). As you exit, keep to the right and turn onto NE 13th Ave. Go one block North (toward the Lloyd Center Mall) and turn right onto Multnomah. At the 2nd stop light turn left onto NE 16th. Ave. NE 16th will curve and become NE 15th Ave. - our street. Stay in the right lane and go straight on NE 15th across Weidler and Broadway. We are one block North of Broadway - the large blue Victorian on your right at the NE corner of NE 15th and NE Schuyler (pronounced "Sky-ler").

DRIVING ON I-5 NORTH OR SOUTH: Take the Rose Quarter exit (Exit 302-A). Turn onto Weidler (a one-way, East-bound street at this point) and continue to NE 15th.Ave. Turn left on NE 15th Ave. (our street) and go across Broadway. We are one block North of Broadway - the large blue Victorian on your right at the corner of NE 15th and NE Schuyler (pronounced "Sky-ler").

DRIVING ON I-84 WEST OR ON I-205 NORTH OR SOUTH: From I-205, take Portland I-84 West. Take the Lloyd Blvd. exit (Exit 1). TAKING PUBLIC TRANSIT

TAKING THE "MAX" LIGHT RAIL FROM THE AIRPORT (40 minutes, includes 12 minute walk from Lloyd Center MAX stop): Go to the South end of the Airport terminal on the baggage claim level. Purchase an "All Zone" ticket for $1.55 at the ticket machines to your left just before you exit the Airport terminal. Exit the terminal and board the Max train in the station. The ride will last approximately 30 minutes. Exit the train at the Lloyd Center / NE 11th Ave. stop (this is the stop after NE 42nd Ave.). (Follow the directions in the next section to walk to the Lion and the Rose from the Lloyd Center MAX Light Rail stop.)

WALKING FROM THE LLOYD CENTER MAX LIGHT RAIL STOP TO THE LION AND THE ROSE: Exit the train at the Lloyd Center / NE 11th Ave. Max Light Rail stop. As you exit the train face the park to the North. Immediately turn right and walk East toward the open air parking lot. At the end of the block turn left and walk North along NE 13th Ave. Turn right on Multnomah and walk East for one long block. When you see the large red Lloyd Center Cinema marquis on your right, turn left onto the "street" that runs in front of Sears. Keep walking straight ahead and you will merge into NE 15th Ave. - our street. Follow 15th Ave. North across Halsey, Weidler, and Broadway. We are one block North of Broadway - the large blue Victorian on your right at the NE corner of NE 15th and NE Schuyler (pronounced "Sky-ler").

FROM THE TRAIN STATION & BUS TERMINAL: Portland's Antrak Station and the Greyhound Bus Terminal are located at 800 NW 6th Ave., about a mile from the Lion and the Rose. You have several options depending on how much luggage you have:
1) take a taxi;
2) take a free bus to Pioneer Square and switch to the free MAX Light Rail on the South side of the Square on Yamhill; take the MAX Light Rail East to the Lloyd Center / NE 11th Ave. stop; walk to the Lion and the Rose (see directions above)
3) walk 4 blocks South and 4 blocks East to the Old Town / China Town MAX Light Rail Stop on NW 1st Ave. between Everett and Davis; take the Blue or Red line of the MAX Light Rail toward Gresham or the Airport; exit the train at the Lloyd Center / NE 11th Ave. stop; walk to the Lion and the Rose (see directions above)
4) walk 3 blocks South to the #77 Bus Stop at the NW corner of Glisan and Broadway; take the bus to NE 15th Ave. and Weidler; walk 2 blocks North on NE 15th Ave. to the Lion and the Rose.
